That’s it for this week. Take a look at these opportunities and maybe one will be the perfect fit for you. Until next time, keep exploring and stay curious!

I’ve had good luck setting keyword alerts (“remote”, “biology education”) and applying within 24 hours on HigherEdJobs: https://www.higheredjobs.com. Just watch that “remote” sometimes means “within state lines” or occasional campus visits. Keep a teaching statement and sample syllabus ready so you can hit submit faster than a fruit fly lifecycle.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

Because these are ‘real-time’, I set Visualping on specific university HR pages and apply through the HR portal instead of the aggregator listing — it’s gotten me callbacks faster than going through https://jobs.chronicle.com. Small caveat: some portals mangle PDFs, so I paste a short ‘online teaching’ blurb and key points into the text fields as well.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

But filtering for ‘course developer’ or ‘instructional designer’ with biology on Science Careers and NABT’s board (https://careers.nabt.org) has surfaced more fully remote options than standard faculty searches. I apply same day since these are ‘real-time’, but always check the HR fine print — ‘remote’ sometimes hides a hybrid clause.
