Challenges in Interpreting Variant Data

The complexity of genetic variant interpretation continues to be a significant hurdle in genomics. Just recently, while analyzing whole-exome sequencing data from a cohort of 200 patients, I encountered multiple variants classified as ‘uncertain significance.’ It raises the question of how our methodologies might be adjusted to improve the clarity of these interpretations and reduce the rate of ambiguous classifications.
