I started planning by equipment slots: fixed sterilizer/incubator blocks anchored to the 3 pm PPE audit on my calendar, then I slide experiments under those blocks so the Gantt can wobble without wrecking the day — @smith39’s timing point is spot on; tiny caveat: it collapses if anyone ignores the block.

@liatorr I stopped scheduling by hours and switched to OD triggers: when a culture hits OD about 0.6 my tracker bumps the next step, plus I hold a 20‑min flex block right before the sterilizer run for early bloomers… It sometimes nudges the afternoon, but it’s been way saner.
