I’m assembling a lightweight workflow to triage mixture risk from grab samples (n≈48, spring 2025) using EPA CompTox + ToxCast effect concentrations, HTTK for plasma equivalents, and ssdtools to derive HC5s; before I lock it in, are there better open resources or datasets you’d recommend for cross-chemical potency harmonization? Also curious if anyone has experience with Mixtox or similar R packages for concentration addition vs. response addition when species-level data are sparse.
I’d add ToxValDB for curated PODs; NORMAN SusDat helps harmonize cross-chemical potency: NORMAN Substance Database, pairs well with HTTK+ssdtools…
If you’re already using HTTK, pull IVIVE/AEDs straight from NICEATM’s ICE (https://ice.ntp.niehs.nih.gov/) — it harmonizes AC50→AED across assays and lets you flag cytotox-burst before you set RPFs. For ecological SSDs, EnviroTox’s chronic EC10/NOEC set drops into ssdtools and backstops HC5s where ToxCast is thin. Mixto works for CA/IA but only behaved for me after normalizing everything to AED or plasma equivalents; otherwise promiscuous actives skew the mixture.
