Why do we dream anyway

Ever wake up from a dream and wonder what it all meant? There’s a lot of scientific debate on the purpose of dreaming. Some researchers think it helps us process memories, while others suggest it’s just a byproduct of brain activity during sleep. I’m curious to hear what everyone thinks. Do you find your dreams meaningful, or just random nonsense?

And dreaming drives me nuts sometimes! It feels like my brain goes on a wild ride at night, and then I wake up trying to piece together a puzzle that makes no sense. I’ve definitely had dreams that felt meaningful, but there are others that seem completely random.

Dreams can feel like a weird movie that only plays in your head, right — i think they might help us work through stuff we don’t even realize we’re thinking about… Do you ever find a theme in your dreams, @elilee?
